The differences between type one and type two diabetes are not so different. Both of them require a change in diet, lifestyle and may require medication to control. Type 1 diabetes is caused by the persons own anti bodies not recognizing the beta cells that produce insulin in the pancreas. This causes the antibodies to attack the beta cells thus stopping or lowering the production of insulin in the body. Type 1 diabetes requires a person to inject insulin so the body can process sugars into energy. The insulin may be administered either through single use injections, insulin pens, or insulin pumps. While different people prefer different methods of insulin injection, they are all still viable and administer insulin efficiently. Type 2 diabetes is caused when a person’s body develops insulin resistance. This means that the person’s body does not use the insulin that is being produced properly and cannot utilize it to turn sugars into energy. That is why sometimes you see crystallized shiny urine. For more about that click here. Type 1 and type 2 both require a change in diet. The biggest change is the addition of carb counting into ones meal plan. People with diabetes are also required to be more active. This helps in lowering blood sugars. So this means no more eating junk food that is rich in sugars. Like Twizzlers dots, gummy worms sour punch kids and pop rocks. All the good candy is off limits. However diabetics can still eat some candy but they need to eat the right portions as to not get their blood sugar levels too high. Diabetes may be hard to manage at first but once you become used to it, it will be just like any other normal thing you do every day. Still sucks though you cannot eat Reeses or the good flavor ice cream like cake flavor and cotton candy flavor. Oh and then those big cake slices no more of that.
